In-Home Consultations
We provide lactation consultations from the comfort and familiarity of your home in Austin and surrounding areas. Our consultations usually involve the following:
Weighted feeding (to assess how much breastmilk your baby takes from the breast)
Latch and positioning assessment and support
Breast assessment (address any breast or nipple discomfort)
Oral assessment (to ensure your baby’s oral anatomy is functioning optimally)
Assess milk supply
Pump assembly and education, including assessing flange size
Bottle refusal
Prenatal consultation - prepare to breastfeed your baby!
Care plan - you will be provided with a clear, written care plan
1 week of follow up care via phone and/or secure messaging to ensure care plan is working well for you
Virtual Consultations
Telehealth Video Care consultations usually involve the following:
Secure, HIPAA-compliant video care platform
Discuss and troubleshoot your lactation challenges
Visualize latch and positioning and make recommendations
Assess breast and/or nipple concerns
Discuss pump and flange size
Prenatal consultation - prepare to breastfeed your baby!
Care plan - you will be provided with a clear, written care plan
