Our Team

Amanda Russell, IBCLC

I’m Amanda Russell. I hold a BA in Early Childhood Studies and Intervention and am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My journey into lactation support began after the birth of my first son in 2016, when I realized I wanted to dedicate my life to helping moms navigate breastfeeding.

People often ask if my own experience influenced this path—and the answer is absolutely. Looking back, I suspect my son had undiagnosed tongue and lip ties, which contributed to many of the challenges we faced. With support, we ultimately had a successful breastfeeding experience, and for that I’m incredibly grateful.

Over the following years, I immersed myself in peer support and spent over 500 hours working with mothers and babies in a local breastfeeding clinic. In 2020, I officially became an IBCLC.

I live in Austin, Texas with my husband and our four boys. We love spending time outside, discovering new spots around the city, and traveling whenever we get the chance.

Heather Meyer, IBCLC

I’m Heather Meyer. As a mother and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I understand firsthand how rewarding—and challenging— breastfeeding can be. I started my career in counseling, but after the birth of my daughter, and our struggles with breastfeeding, due to slow weight gain and tongue ties, I felt led to support families in a new way. With the right help, we were able to establish a strong breastfeeding relationship, and that experience inspired me to become an IBCLC, in 2022 after completing my education through UCSan Diego.

Today, I’m honored to walk alongside parents, offering support, education and encouragement throughout their breastfeeding journeys.

I live in Austin with my husband and our two young kids. We enjoy hiking, swimming, and spending time with our church community and nearby family.
